Clinical Research Coordinator Role Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator 1 (Cardiovascular) assists Principal Investigators (PIs) with clinical trials, encompassing all trial phases from pre-study to closure, while adhering to federal, state, and institutional guidelines. This clinical research coordinator role is responsible for coordinating complex studies and seeking guidance from senior roles as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Implements various protocols for assigned research projects with appropriate departments.
- Interacts with PIs, clinical managers, and supervisors.
- Creates, facilitates, or executes various project workflows based on clinical trial protocol needs.
- Ensures appropriate billing mechanisms are in place for research charges.
- Performs research subject informed consent and entry into appropriate research studies.
- Partners and coordinates with regulatory compliance, preparing IRB materials and submitting IND Safety forms.
- Conducts and coordinates study-monitoring visits, audits, and quality checks.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Clinical Research Coordinator Jobs
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- Experience: 1 year of experience
Required Skills
- Research certification or other certifications per specialty area preferred.
- Proven written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
