UTMB Research Associate I Job Description
The UTMB Research Associate I will perform varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments. This Freshers Research Job involves executing routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the Principal Investigator (PI) of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs routine and non-routine research assignments as designed by the PI of the laboratory.
- Maintains inventory of all laboratory supplies related to research, documentation of research data, and updates chemical and lab inventory.
- Handles lab ordering related to ongoing projects and annual inspections.
- Conducts biological assays and performs quantitative and qualitative assays (examples include imaging, immunohistochemistry, histology, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, cell culture, animal studies, statistical analysis, and data management).
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in basic science or equivalent; no experience required.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills and basic management skills.
- Proficiency with computer software and some experience in big data analysis.
