This Microbiologist job at LGC is an excellent opportunity for a microbiology graduate or early-career scientist looking to develop their laboratory experience within a supportive and collaborative environment. Working alongside experienced colleagues, the successful candidate will contribute to the production and testing of microbiological samples used in LGC Axio Proficiency Testing schemes and maintain ISO 17043 and ISO 17034 accredited quality systems.
Eligibility Criteria
- A degree in Microbiology or a related Life Sciences subject, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, either through employment, industrial placement, or academic projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- A proactive and flexible approach to learning and problem-solving.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
