Pre-Clinical Research Associate Job Description
Orano Med is seeking a Pre-CRA to support the scientific research performed as part of Orano Med Pre-Clinical Research and Development. The Pre-Clinical Research Associate will perform a variety of technical tasks under general supervision, including daily routine care for research animals and assisting with preclinical experiments.
Eligibility Criteria
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity:
- High school diploma with 2-3 years of related work experience. Prefer Associates Degree with 0-2 years of related work experience. Knowledge of GLP environment and procedures.
- Working experience in Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) facilities.
- Knowledge of SOPs and GLP quality assurance standards pertaining to research facility.
- Knowledge of the Animal Welfare Act and the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.
Pre-Clinical Research Associate – Key Responsibilities
- Provides daily routine care for research animals, including monitoring, handling, and health checks.
- Animal health-care, preparation, and follow-up (monitoring, tagging, weighing, and calipering).
- Perform preclinical experiments (injection, bleeding, necropsies).
- Assist with the receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.
- Handle radioactive materials.
- May perform simple surgeries and pre-, peri-, and post-operative observations.
- Clean room facility maintenance and experiment preparation.
- Responsible for coordinating with supervisors on operational and technical duties.
- Maintains study records and preclinical research activity in the Orano Med animal facility.
