QC Microbiology Job Description
This QC Microbiology Job involves conducting and coordinating microbiological testing and related activities required in the Plant. A Microbiology Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of products through rigorous testing and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct aseptic technique and sampling
- Perform bioburden testing (total microbial count) of water and medical devices
- Carry out spectrophotometric and environmental testing
- Prepare media and microbial cultures
- Compile documentation according to GMP requirements
- Operate instrumentation and manage stock
- Engage in sterilization-related activities and test method validations
- Maintain laboratory upkeep
Qualifications
- Hold a Science-related degree or other qualification in Biology or medical-laboratory science and have related 1-2 years of work experience in a certified laboratory environment, especially in microbiology, which will be considered an asset.
