Strain Management Role Description
In this Process Development Associate job, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and qualifying Master and Working Cell Banks, performing quality control testing on GMP- and non-GMP-grade cell banks, maintaining cell line storage and traceability, and supporting cell line engineering activities. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficient hands-on laboratory techniques.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- 1 year of relevant experience.
Process Development Associate job – Key Responsibilities
- Prepares all Master Cell Banks (MCBs) and Working Cell Banks (WCBs), including cell growth and suspension in freezing solution, vial preparation, and vialing.
- Perform all GMP and non-GMP grade cell bank QCs.
- Ensures proper transfer and placement of cell banks into correct storage locations.
- Assists the strain manager to ensure accurate documentation and traceability of engineered cell lines and associated product source information.
- Assist the strain manager in cell line engineering.
- Preparation and maintenance of competent E. coli strains for in-house use.
- Perform routine environmental monitoring.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
