Job Description

The Biotechnology Internship focuses on a guided research project in sterile formulation development and novel drug delivery technologies for biologics and small-molecule medicines. Interns will gain hands-on experience in formulation screening, stability assessment, laboratory testing, and process optimization with expert mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct feasibility experiments involving sterile formulations and drug delivery technologies.
  • Support formulation development, screening, and stability assessment.
  • Perform physicochemical and biophysical characterization of drug products.
  • Contribute to process optimization and pharmaceutical research.
  • Present research findings at the end of the Biotechnology Internship.

Educational Requirements For Biotechnology Internship

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and 2028.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0; GPA must be included on the resume.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the internship. Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience is required.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical science, physical pharmacy, chemistry, stability, or biochemistry.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and work effectively in a team.
  • Experience in formulation development, formulation characterization, or novel drug delivery technologies is preferred.
