Job Description
The University of Iowa seeks a full-time Research Specialist to work collaboratively across three research laboratories. The role involves conducting experiments, data analysis, and assisting with training students in techniques related to cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
Research Responsibilities
- Function as a specialist/technical expert in the discipline
- Investigate and develop novel research approaches
- Conduct complex research and develop protocols
- Contribute to manuscripts and publications
Administrative and Project Management
- Oversee administrative functions and manage staff
- Communicate progress with stakeholders
- Manage lab facilities and equipment
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of five years of experience in laboratory work
- Demonstrated record of scientific discovery
- Excellent communication skills
