Job Description
As a Pharmacovigilance Officer, you will be an integral part of Pharmathen’s global drug safety operations. This role involves managing pharmacovigilance activities in alignment with Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GVP), EU, US, and other global safety regulations. Your work will directly support patient safety, risk minimization, and regulatory compliance across an extensive and innovative pharmaceutical portfolio.
Life Sciences Job at Pharmathen – Key Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EU, US, and global pharmacovigilance regulations.
- Process ICSRs, SUSARs: intake, data entry, follow-up, and timely reporting.
- Screen scientific literature for adverse event reports and safety signals.
- Draft aggregate safety reports (PSURs, DSURs, RMPs, etc.).
- Support reconciliation and quality documentation activities.
- Maintain Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF) and assist with signal management.
- Upload product safety data to Art. 57(2) database.
- Monitor regulatory websites (EMA, NCA) for safety updates and ensure internal communication.
- Prepare and revise pharmacovigilance SOPs.
- Handle Medical Information Enquiries (MIEs) and assist in audits/inspections.
- Liaise with affiliates, clients, and external stakeholders on safety-related topics.
Life Sciences Job at Pharmathen – Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of pharmacovigilance experience in pharma or consultancy.
- Experience in EudraVigilance systems and safety databases is preferred.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
