Job Description:
The Esoterix division at Labcorp is seeking a full-time Clinical Lab Technician in Calabasas Hills, California. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates in the fields of chemistry or biology. You’ll assist in specimen testing in the Steroids department under the direct supervision of Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Complete training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct specimen testing under the oversight of a Clinical Lab Scientist
- Perform pipetting, reagent preparation, and routine lab procedures
- Document test results, reagent usage, and quality control data
- Follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (CLIA, CAP)
- Maintain lab equipment and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Learn the clinical significance of laboratory test results
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Biological or Chemical Science, Clinical Lab Science, or Medical Technology
- No prior lab experience requiredโLabcorp will train
- Familiarity with lab systems and computers is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
- Must pass the standardized color vision test
- Willingness to work evening shifts and potential overtime
Work Schedule:
Tuesday/Wednesday and Friday/Saturday from 3:00 PM โ 1:30 AM
Includes 2nd shift differential
Pay Range:
$23.00 โ $30.00/hour (based on experience, certifications, and internal equity)
