Job Description:
This food science job at Mars is the โface of R&Dโ for the Value Stream. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and ensure continuous improvement of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) to deliver products that meet all regulatory requirements and internal quality and food safety standards.
Key Requirements:
- BS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field
- 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications for the Food Science Job:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- 2-3 years of quality-related experience
- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and GFSI Quality Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement QMP-related standards into the value stream
- Manage the food safety program
- Lead HACCP and GMP/GHP programs
- Coordinate QMP and provide technical input
- Ensure compliance with quality standards
- Handle Q&FS incident management and consumer complaints
