Role Summary
As an Associate Scientist, you will be part of the Tech Services Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS) or Quality teams at Elanco, contributing to the production and release of commercialized animal health products. In this entry-level role, youโll support process development, analytical testing, and technical investigations within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of Microbiology Jobs at Elanco
- Support manufacturing operations through process monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and quality control testing.
- Perform analytical techniques such as HPLC, ICP, wet chemistry, and microbiological assays in a Quality Control Lab.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documents, including protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and deviation investigations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and development teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in or graduating with a BA, BS, or MS in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Biomedical Engineering).
- Experience: Entry-level role (no prior experience required).
- Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or co-op experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
