  • 4 Crew, 3 Shifts:
    • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
    • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Quality Technologist Role Overview

The Quality Technologist (Packaging Lab) ensures that all packaging materials and finished products meet Carlsberg Malaysia’s quality standards. This includes performing inspections, executing 5S practices, and auditing the packaging laboratory. The role supports continuous improvement and quality compliance across all packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine analysis of incoming packaging materials and finished products, including Quality Control Statistical Process Control (QCSPC) data entry
• Perform trend analysis and implement corrective actions for detected deviations
• Carry out preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments according to master schedule
• Handle non-conformance issues, including Put On Hold (POH) actions and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), and follow up as needed
• Conduct random checks on stock in bond and third-party warehouses to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., freshness, FIFO)
• Coordinate 5S activities in the packaging laboratory and conduct audits to assess compliance
• Actively participate in sectional continuous improvement projects
• Provide relief or support to Chemical / Micro laboratories as required
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the superior

Requirements for Quality Technologist Role

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Food Studies, or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in quality control/assurance, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Knowledge of packaging laboratory skills, ISO 9001, HACCP, and SPC
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel
• Honest, cooperative, and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management
• Team player capable of working independently
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to quality in all work
• Ability to work in shifts.
