Clinical Research Associate Job Description

Responsibilities include conducting remote or on-site visits to assess protocol and regulatory compliance, managing documentation, and ensuring that trials are conducted according to approved protocols and ICH-GCP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities for Clinical Research Associate job include:
- Monitor investigator sites with a risk-based monitoring approach, applying root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Document observations in reports and letters in a timely manner using approved business writing standards.
- Participate in investigator meetings and assist in identifying potential investigators.
- Ensure that required essential documents are complete and in place according to ICH-GCP and applicable regulations.
- Provide trial status tracking and progress update reports to the team as required.
- Facilitate effective communication between investigative sites, the client company, and internal project teams.
- Maintain and complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and timesheets in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the project team by assisting in preparation of project publications/tools and sharing ideas/suggestions.
Clinical Research Associate Job Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences related field or equivalent.
- Minimal clinical monitoring experience (comparable to 2 years) in a clinical environment.
- Valid driver’s license where applicable.
- Equivalency of education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered.
Required Skills
- Basic medical/therapeutic area knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of ICH GCPs and applicable regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn appropriate software.
