Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or equivalent Life Science
- 1–2 years of experience in a cGMP-compliant industry
Key Responsibilities of Microbiology Technician Role:
- Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing
- Conduct environmental monitoring to support aseptic manufacturing
- Execute assays for sterility, endotoxin, bioburden, and microbial limits
- Maintain laboratory cultures, media preparation, and autoclave operations
- Record data in LIMS following GDP and ALCOA principles
- Support validation activities, investigations, and microbial trending
- Assist with inventory management and 5S laboratory standards
Skills Required for Microbiology Technician Role:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology testing and EM techniques
- Strong understanding of cGMP and SOP compliance
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
