Educational Requirements for the Laboratory Technician Role:
Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Science, Laboratory Studies, or equivalent industry experience (highly desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
- In the Laboratory Technician Role, you should conduct routine chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods
- Analyse, report, and escalate test results, non-conformances, and delays
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and additional testing activities
- As a Laboratory Technician, you should maintain laboratory GLP, hygiene standards, and equipment care
- Contribute to audits, document control, GMP, hygiene programs, and off-site sample management
- Participate in daily operational meetings and verification activities
- Drive continuous improvement across quality systems, efficiency, and reliability
- Provide training, coaching, and support to promote a strong food safety and quality culture in the Food Science Jobs at Noumi.
Skills Required for the Laboratory Technician Role:
- Experience with quality and manufacturing systems
- Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, and quality standards
- Microbiological and UHT experience (preferred)
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
