The company is currently seeking outstanding candidates for 2026 Summer Internships at our R&D Center in Wilmington, Delaware, with a focus on the scientific interface among biology, chemistry, and engineering.
Responsibilities
Selected interns will conduct research in one or more of the following areas:

Development of genetic tools and high-throughput methods for microbial biocatalyst creation to produce proteins and renewable chemicals

High-throughput engineering of organisms for improved bioethanol production

Advancement of microbiome research for pre- and postbiotics with health and wellness benefits
Qualifications for Bioscience Research Internship

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:

Biological Sciences (cell & molecular biology, genetics, microbiology)

Biotechnology
-
Or a related field

Completed sophomore year of undergraduate study and continuing education in the fall

Ability to work in an interdisciplinary scientific environment

High level of initiative and strong teamwork skills
