Key Responsibilities

In this Research Job, you are the vital link between the medical staff and the federal authorities. You will support the Oncology Clinical Research Unit (CRU), specifically focusing on Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy programs. Your work ensures that investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies remain in perfect alignment with FDA and IRB standards.

  • Regulatory Operations: Prepare, submit, and maintain complex FDA, IRB, and institutional documentation. You will navigate these pathways in constant collaboration with Principal Investigators (PIs).
  • Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain meticulous regulatory binders and respond to audit findings. You will be the “Gold Standard” for site initiation and close-out activities.
  • Study Management: Utilize advanced systems like OnCore, eREG, and iRIS to coordinate logistics between sponsors, CROs, and the internal research team.
  • Ethical Oversight: Apply and interpret federal requirements to consent documents and protocols, ensuring participant safety is never compromised.

Requirements: Launching Your Research Job at Duke
