Life Sciences Job Description
Life sciences role candidates will join the Biomarker Immunoassay team in San Diego and work closely with team members to ensure the timely manufacturing of high-quality immunoassay products under ISO13485 standards.
The Biochemist I – ELISA will be responsible for product manufacturing activities, including planning and scheduling production, manufacturing and testing immunoassay components and kits, troubleshooting quality-related issues, and maintaining accurate production documentation. The role also involves supporting product transfers from Product Development to Manufacturing, fulfilling daily immunoassay kit orders, and manufacturing custom products.
Qualifications
Minimum
Life Sciences Job applicants should possess:
- BS in Biology or another life science-related field.
- Alternatively, 3+ years of equivalent experience.
Preferred
Life sciences job candidates with the following qualifications will be preferred:
- 1 year of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and documentation experience.
- 1 year or more of manufacturing experience under ISO13485 compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership potential.
- 1+ years of hands-on immunoassay experience, including ELISA.
Key Responsibilities
Life sciences job responsibilities include:
- Manufacture kits and kit components, including purification, bottling, and assembly according to standard operating procedures.
- Produce both catalog and custom products.
- Perform in-process testing to ensure product quality.
- Document, analyze, and review manufacturing data.
- Package kits and complete required documentation for transfers.
- Assist with raw material planning and inventory management.
- Schedule and coordinate kit production activities.
- Collaborate with Product Development teams for successful product transfers.
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
