Life Sciences Job Description

Life sciences job professionals joining Solvias will become part of the Large Molecule & Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products Services team working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laboratory environment.

Located at the company’s large molecule headquarters in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina, the Analyst will serve as one of the primary laboratory analysts supporting Cell-Based Bioassays (CBBA) and Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA). The role involves release and stability testing, assay development, validation activities, data analysis, and maintaining GMP compliance while supporting biologics testing.

Qualifications

Life sciences job applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Life Sciences.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in GMP/GLP environments (preferred).
  • Assay development, qualification, and validation experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ELISA, cell culture, aseptic techniques, flow cytometry, and CBBA.
  • Experience in release testing, method development, and CBBA/ELISA validation.
  • Prior CRO/CDMO experience (strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cell cultures and plate-based assays.

Life Sciences Job – Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality laboratory activities according to the assigned schedule.
  • Process samples for release and stability testing, including complex sample preparation according to GMP requirements.
  • Document experiments, sample tracking, and raw data according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GMP requirements.
  • Support the development and validation of CBBA and ELISA assays.
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret assay data.
  • Execute laboratory protocols while ensuring compliance with GMP regulatory requirements and SOPs.
  • Demonstrate good pipetting skills and aseptic laboratory techniques.
  • Collaborate with scientists and team leads to investigate deviations, non-conformities, Out of Specifications (OOS), change controls, and other quality events under GMP.
  • Train team members when required.
  • Contribute to laboratory process improvements for efficient workflows.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, order supplies, and support instrument maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.
