Merck Healthcare Internship Description
The intern will contribute to an innovation project developing novel payload technologies for next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (degrader-ADCs / PROxAb Shuttles). Responsibilities include conducting cellular assays (viability, flow cytometry, degradation), performing literature/IP analysis, and planning experiments at the interface of antibody engineering, targeted protein degradation, and payload optimization.
Eligibility Criteria
- Advanced Master’s student (final-year) in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Biomedical Sciences / Molecular Medicine / Medicinal Chemistry or a related field.
- PhD candidates are not eligible.
- Ideally possess expertise in antibodies, ADCs, targeted protein degradation, or cancer biology.
- Independent and thorough working style with confidence in structuring and presenting scientific concepts.
- German and English at C2 level (near-native proficiency) required.
Merck Healthcare Internship – Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments such as cellular assays.
- Contribute to the development of novel drug classes combining targeted protein degradation with antibody-mediated delivery.
- Support the team during the Merck Healthcare internship in developing and evaluating early-stage technical concepts.
