Applicants for this Research Associate II role should meet one of these qualification pathways.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, SDS-PAGE, qPCR/ddPCR, and Western blot.
  • Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
  • Ability to follow established protocols with minimal supervision and deliver reliable, reproducible results.

Required Skills

  • Direct expertise with mammalian cell culture, including primary and immortalized cell systems, and strong aseptic technique.
  • Direct experience with quantitative molecular biology techniques, including isolation of DNA, RNA, and protein from cells and tissues; quantitative PCR and RT‑PCR (preference for direct experience with ddPCR); ELISA; SDS‑PAGE; and Western blot/automated Western (e.g., Jess).
  • Strong data collection, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a research team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support scientists in the design, planning, and execution of experiments to analyze protein, RNA, and DNA from in vitro and in vivo studies, contributing to key studies in gene therapy R&D.
