Piper Companies is seeking a Microbiologist to support a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization in the RTP area. This Piper Companies microbiologist job is a 6+ month contract-to-hire role focused on environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, and cleanroom operations within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring activities, including viable air, surface, and personnel sampling within controlled manufacturing and laboratory environments.
- Conduct routine microbiology laboratory testing and generate accurate, GMP-compliant documentation of results and observations.
- Evaluate environmental monitoring data, identify trends, and assist with basic investigations and troubleshooting activities.
- Operate and maintain sampling equipment, laboratory instruments, and testing systems used to support contamination control programs.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of laboratory materials while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Eligibility Criteria for Piper Companies microbiologist job
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Understanding of basic analytical chemistry concepts, including the ability to create standard curves and calculate unknown sample concentrations through interpolation.

Compensation
- Associate I Salary Range: $25.00/hr – $30.00/hr
- Associate II Salary Range: $30.00/hr – $37.00/hr
- Contract Length: 6+ Months
