Regulatory Affairs Associate role
Canadian Blood Services seeks a full-time Regulatory Affairs Associate for their Quality and Regulatory Affairs division. The role involves ensuring compliance of biological products with regulatory requirements, contributing to submissions, compliance activities, and process improvements. Ideal candidates excel in interpreting regulations and fostering collaborative relationships.
Desired education and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in science (biology, microbiology, immunology).
- Regulatory Affairs certification or postgraduate training is an asset (e.g., RAC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, device, or biologic manufacturing under GMP.
- Preferred 2 years’ regulatory experience with knowledge of domestic and international requirements.
- Experience in regulatory submissions and audits, including documentation and corrective actions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian regulatory requirements for blood and related components.
- Ability to interpret and apply international regulatory guidelines and standards.
Regulatory Affairs Associate – Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support regulatory strategies to ensure products and services meet compliance and reporting obligations.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory expectations and decision-making.
- Prepare accurate and timely regulatory submissions and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies to address compliance issues.
- Coordinate regulatory and non-regulatory inspections.
- Assess regulatory risks and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Promote continuous improvement in regulatory submissions and compliance activities.
Salary/Rate of pay: $86,400 – $101,700
