Microbiology Lab Assistant Job Description
The Lab Assistant – Microbiology will maintain a clean laboratory environment, assist in testing procedures, and support quality control checks. This Microbiology Lab Assistant Job includes responsibilities such as cleaning and decontaminating equipment, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This role plays a crucial part in the laboratory’s operational success and contributes to public health initiatives.
Freshers Microbiologist Job – Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean laboratory by discarding waste and sanitizing surfaces.
- Store chemicals and reagents properly while maintaining adequate stock.
- Perform quality control checks as required by department leadership.
- Assist laboratory personnel with testing procedures as instructed.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in working order.
- Ensure a safe working environment and participate in audits.
- Complete assigned tasks under supervision while collaborating with the team.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Freshers Microbiologist Job
- No previous laboratory experience is required; full training will be provided.
- High school diploma or GED is necessary.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and operate a motor vehicle safely.
Required Skills
- Analytical skills for completing analysis procedures.
- General knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Physical dexterity for manipulating samples.

Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 hourly USD
Schedule: 5-day work week, weekends required
Hours: 6am-2:30pm, with regular overtime
Overtime: 10-15 hours per week, OT hours paid at time and a half
