Quality Control Job Description
This Bio-Rad Quality Control Job supports Bio-Rad’s commitment to quality and safety by analyzing the functional performance of raw and in-process materials for use in BioPlex products. The majority of materials will be tested on the BioPlex instrument and will support production of reagent kits for the BioPlex product line. Additional duties will include maintaining lab space, performing small scale bead couplings, preparing small scale solutions, managing inventory of materials for use, and maintaining lab equipment. As a part of the Quality Control team, candidates will apply their scientific knowledge while testing raw and in-process materials according to FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing and per documented methods employing Good Laboratory & Manufacturing Practices. This role is critical in maintaining the overall quality of Bio-Rad’s products and services.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: BS/BA degree in the physical sciences or equivalent, with basic working knowledge of laboratory environments and computer software programs.
- Work Experience: 0-2 years experience in a general laboratory environment performing analyses in chemistry, biochemistry, or associated areas of life sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and information quickly and accurately to identify issues or areas for improvement.
- Time Management: Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
Quality Control Job – Key Responsibilities
- Preparing materials to conduct quality checks: Performing testing to assess functional performance of incoming raw and in-process materials to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Identifying and addressing quality issues: Raising quality issues to appropriate teams to prevent recurrence and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with other teams: Working with materials management, manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance to provide feedback on quality issues and improve processes.
