Job Description
The Research Associate Job involves performing routine laboratory testing and data analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include documenting results accurately, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with laboratory personnel and cross-functional stakeholders to support safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Research Associate Job – Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze routine data to confirm procedures are progressing as expected and results remain within acceptable tolerances.
- Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating findings to senior laboratory personnel.
- Prepare analytical results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior staff.
- Prepare buffers and solutions and perform assigned equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Support quality investigations, deviations, procedural updates, and implementation of approved changes.
- Train and guide laboratory personnel on routine procedures in areas of demonstrated competency.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with cross-functional stakeholders while supporting safety, quality, and 6S initiatives.
IQVIA Research Associate Job Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science in a biology.
- For this IQVIA Research Associate Job, 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, including Good Laboratory Practices.
- Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques, automation, or specialized laboratory equipment.
- Ability to perform routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations involving batches, specimens, averages, means, standard deviations, and quality-control metrics.
- Applicable certification and/or other requirements established by country, state, or other regulatory bodies.
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills For Research Associate Job
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and complete documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection-control practices, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to support the onboarding and training of laboratory staff.
Salary
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $42,700.00 – $89,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
