Computational Biology Internship: Job Description
The Computational Biology Internship at Aixial Group is designed for individuals passionate about predictive modeling and advanced computational approaches to solve complex biological and medical problems. Interns will engage in all stages of the research process, including literature review, hypothesis formulation, experimental design, data collection, data analysis, and result interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of novel computational approaches, focusing on building static networks.
- Develop predictive models for clinical and biological applications, exploring dynamic inference methods to capture evolving processes.
- Apply hybrid modeling strategies that integrate data-driven and mechanistic approaches to complex biological systems.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Computational Biology Internship
- Student in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience in programming using Python, R, or other languages.
- Experience or strong interest in predictive modeling.
- Interest in complex biological systems (genetics, epigenetics, molecular biology, physiopathology).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to generate and test novel hypotheses.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
