Systematic Review Analyst Job Description

The Systematic Review Analyst will work across all practice areas within Adelphi Values PROVE. This role is ideal for those with a strong interest in evidence-based medicine, healthcare decision-making, and pharmaceutical consulting. The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of systematic literature reviews (SLRs), targeted literature reviews (TLRs), and evidence synthesis projects for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct systematic and targeted literature reviews in accordance with established methodologies and client requirements.
  • Develop and execute literature searches across biomedical databases, including MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Library, and relevant conference proceedings.
  • Screen titles, abstracts, and full-text publications against predefined eligibility criteria.
  • Extract clinical, epidemiological, patient-reported outcome, and economic data from published literature.
  • Assess study quality and risk of bias using accepted methodological frameworks.
  • Support qualitative evidence synthesis and preparation of evidence summaries.
  • Assist in developing systematic review protocols, screening forms, extraction templates, and study flow diagrams.
  • Draft technical reports, evidence summaries, slide decks, and study documentation.

Systematic Review Analyst Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, such as life sciences, health economics, or public health.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong academic understanding of research methods and critical appraisal of scientific literature.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within project timelines.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject is desirable.
  • Awareness of systematic review methodologies and evidence synthesis principles is a plus.
