UCB Associate Scientist Role: Job Description
In this UCB Scientist Job, the VIE Associate Scientist will contribute to the development and optimization of viral vector manufacturing processes using advanced cell culture technologies and bioreactor systems. Responsibilities include designing, executing, analyzing, and presenting experimental studies focused on improving process performance, scalability, and product quality for cell and gene therapies.
Freshers Scientist Job – Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and optimization of viral vector manufacturing processes using advanced cell culture technologies and bioreactor systems.
- Design, execute, analyze, and present experimental studies focused on improving process performance, scalability, and product quality for cell and gene therapies.
- Apply digital technologies, data analytics, automation, and advanced monitoring tools to support process innovation and data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across Research and Manufacturing to translate scientific innovations into robust manufacturing solutions.

Eligibility Criteria Required For Freshers Scientist Job
- Master’s or PhD in Biological Sciences, engineering with biotechnology orientation, Virology, or a related domain.
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Prior experience in laboratory with manipulation of cells/viral vectors.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Maturity, ability to work autonomously and in a group harmoniously.
Additional Requirements
Please note that this program is in partnership with Business France, and we follow the prerequisites required by Business France to carry out a VIE assignment. The main participation prerequisites are as follows:
- Be between 18 and 28 years old.
- Hold the nationality of a member country of the European Economic Area.
- Have not worked or lived in the country where the mission will take place.
- Be available to dedicate yourself to the mission full-time.
- If you have French nationality or dual nationality, be in compliance with the national service obligations of France (Numéro Identifiant Défense).
- Have a clean criminal record.
