Biology Internship Description
The QC Intern will support the Quality Control team across sample handling, routine testing, documentation, and project activities. The role includes working with manufacturing samples and helping ensure that laboratory processes meet EudraLex cGMP requirements.
The selected candidate will also assist with investigations, method validation, equipment troubleshooting, and communication with clients and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, store, and distribute samples from manufacturing and other sites.
- Follow EudraLex cGMP requirements.
- Present daily team updates covering planned work and issues requiring attention.
- Support the QC Senior Scientist with out-of-specification and out-of-limit results, adverse trends, excursions, change controls, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Support and, when required, lead QC test method validation and routine testing strategy development.
- Update clients on method transfer and validation progress.
- Perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, drug substance, and drug product; report and review data.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues involving HPLC, GC, UPLC, and UV spectroscopy.
- Review documentation, calibration logbooks, and software processes, and maintain organized records.
- Support project timelines, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
Educational Requirements and Eligibility For Biology Internship
Applicants must be pursuing a third-level undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, such as:
