In this role you will…
- Be a self-motivated protein biochemist with a strong interest and skills in expression, purification, and characterization of antibodies.
- Be responsible for the purification and characterization of antibodies in different formats and at different scales.
- Support the organization in the supply of biological reagents for drug discovery processes from target through to candidate selection.
- Enhance your skills in expression, purification, and characterization of antibodies and an interest in novel antibody formats.
- Work in a large team of protein biochemists, contributing to an energetic environment in state-of-the-art laboratories.
- Have the opportunity to interact with program teams in a matrix environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a biological or biochemical sciences discipline with post-graduate laboratory experience.
- Experience of antibody purification and characterization techniques.
- Knowledge of protein analytical and biophysical characterization techniques.
- Experience of expression in mammalian expression systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work towards agreed timelines and effectively organize multiple tasks.
- Good data handling and experimental record-keeping skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or Masters Degree.
- Experience with molecular biology design and construct generation.
- Experience with automated protein purification devices e.g., AKTA.
- Experience with expression in insect and bacterial expression systems.
- Track record of flexibility and teamwork.
