Job Title: Assoc Scientist, RNA Assay DevelopmentLocation: San Francisco, CAPosition Summary:The Platform team at Natera is seeking an Associate Scientist for the development of clinical RNA sequencing assays. The ideal candidate will be part of a collaborative team focused on creating a scalable platform for Natera’s next-generation clinical assays.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research, build, and validate high-throughput RNA-sequencing assays
  • Explore emerging technologies in the RNA-sequencing field
  • Independently design and execute experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings
  • Collaborate with automation engineers for creating robust, automated assays
  • Write documentation, SOPs, and train Clinical team operators

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields
  • Experience in assay development for the life science industry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Hands-on experience in developing RNA-sequencing-based clinical assays
  • Understanding of nucleic acid extraction, NGS library preparation, and sequencing technologies
  • Experience in laboratory automation and assay scalability
  • Proficiency in experiments planning, data analysis, and communication

Compensation:San Carlos, CA$96,400 – $120,500 USD
