Associate Scientist Early Translational Sciences Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and perform scientific experiments/activities
- Utilize special equipment under supervision
- Maintain laboratory inventory
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental guidelines
- Provide documentation and evaluate experimental results
- Contribute to method development and process optimization
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
- MSc in Biology, Biotechnology or related Natural Sciences or BSc in Biology, Biotechnology or related Natural Sciences with 2 years relevant experience or Apprenticeship (e.g. CTA, MTA)Â (or equivalent technical education) with 4 years relevant experience in industry or equivalent.
- Excellent English (oral and written)
- Advanced practical experience with cell-based bioassays as well as bioanalytical techniques (e.g. ELISA, ECL immunoassays, flow cytometry, luminescence)
- Experience with assays using primary cells is a plus
- Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment.
- Adequate theoretical and scientific knowledge in the relevant area
- Adequate knowledge of relevant software and computer tools (at least Excel, Word, PLA is a plus).
- Good skills in presentation and scientific writing
- Experience with working in a regulated environment is a plus
- German is a plus
