Research Associate I Opportunity at Engineered Small Molecule site in Cambridge, MA
Purpose
The primary focus of this position is to conduct high-quality bench research and perform biochemical and cellular assays contributing to drug discovery efforts at Astellas.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
This role is vital in advancing early-stage drug candidates through the pipeline by efficiently executing lab work, ensuring data integrity, and acting as a responsible team member.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) or Master’s degree (MS) in a relevant scientific field
- 2+ years of drug discovery experience for BS, 1+ years for MS
- Proficiency in cell handling, molecular biology, and in vitro assays
- Strong background in pharmacology and collaborative team skills
Preferred
- Industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech company setting
- Expertise in cutting-edge molecular biology techniques
- Experience in oncology, immunology, antibody research, or protein engineering
