Plant Physiologist Intern
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Plant Physiologist Intern, are to:
- Establish project plan and key milestones;
- Build network across Plant Breeding and Plant Biotechnology to accomplish project goals;
- Collect field and/or greenhouse data;
- Be responsible for organizing, documenting and reporting research outcomes in a timely manner;
- Troubleshoot actively and problem-solve to optimize research procedures;
- Analyze data to draw conclusions and define next steps;
- Understand and follow protocols when working with regulated plant material;
- Present project results to leadership team and partners.

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD degree program in plant breeding, pathology, physiology, biotechnology, quantitative genetics, molecular biology or related STEM field;
- Able to work safely in field and controlled environment;
- Valid driver’s license, as driving between local sites/fields, is necessary;
- Ability to build relationships and work well in a team-based environment;
- Self-motivated with a strong results orientation;
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability;
- Demonstrated leadership ability;
- Desire to learn and willing to ask questions and able to adapt to change;
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Working Permit.
