Seed Health Molecular Intern
Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments to enhance the efficiency of the ELISA seed health assay method.
- Identify optimal reagent concentrations, incubation times, and key method parameters through experiments.
- Develop and enhance ELISA control quality control processes, including positive process controls.
- Design experiments to assist in setting lot-specific statistical limits for controls.
- Maintain detailed documentation for testing procedures, results, and algorithm updates, providing reports of findings and recommendations.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a cross-regional team on various initiatives.
- Ensure work complies with safety and health regulations, quality management systems, and seed health testing regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Working towards Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Molecular Biology.
- Strong knowledge of basic laboratory techniques.
- Experience with molecular biology lab techniques.
- Experience working in a high-throughput lab environment.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Enrolled in a Master’s degree program.
- Knowledge of Seed Health or plant pathogen testing methods.
- Experience using automation in sample testing.
- Experience with data visualization applications and/or statistical analysis techniques.
