Position: Bioinformatics Data Analyst
Overview
QIAGEN Manchester is seeking a Bioinformatics Data Analyst to work on cutting-edge projects in bioinformatics and molecular diagnostics. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced Bioinformaticians and contribute to platform and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of bioinformatics tools to support molecular assay development.
- Analysis of genomic and biological datasets, presentation of results to teams and stakeholders.
- Visualize and interpret data to generate actionable insights.
- Planning and coordinating studies, writing protocols, and ensuring quality standards.
- Stay updated on new bioinformatics technologies and methods, and mentor colleagues.
- Adhere to design control procedures and regulatory standards.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools, genomics data analysis, and infectious disease knowledge.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
