Postdoctoral Researcher Job Description
The Hsu Lab is looking for curious, creative and motivated postdoctoral researchers to advance generative AI applied to biology, including Arc’s frontier biological foundation models such as Evo, Evo 2, State, Stack and Bioreason. Researchers will develop ML models for biological understanding and design using approaches such as novel architectures, post-training and agentic reasoning.
Current lab interests include predictive models of life (for example, integrating Evo and State), AI agents and systems, genome mining, and AI-guided invention of new therapeutics. Postdocs are encouraged to lead ambitious independent projects, collaborating across Arc, Stanford and the Bay Area, with access to genomics, single-cell, synthetic biology, high-performance computing and experimental model system platforms.
Bioinformatics Postdoc Job – Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute and analyze computational experiments with end-to-end ownership of a research project.
- Publish first-author papers and present at conferences.
