Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report results.
- Collaborate with the software development team to resolve issues.
- Utilize Python for writing test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements for bioinformatics applications.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and reduce test overhead.
- Train and mentor junior QA testers.
Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in software testing methodologies with a focus on bioinformatics applications.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Selenium, and Behave/Cucumber.
- Strong background in biology, genetics, or related field.
- Experience with test case development and statistical tools.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT) and regulatory environment in clinical settings.
Must Have Experience:
- Languages: Python/Pytest, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Selenium, Cucumber
- Packages: Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, PyTest, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy
- Techniques: Code Review, Requirements, Scientific Documentation, End-to-End Testing
- Key Words: Integration Testing, Unit Testing, Validation, Documentation, Selenium, Cucumber
Requirements:
- Batchelor’s degree required in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Physics, Engineering or related field
- At least 1 year in a biotechnology setting
Pay Range:Â $75,000 – $125,000
