Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts.
• Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report results.
• Collaborate with the software development team to resolve issues.
• Utilize Python for writing test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements for bioinformatics applications.
• Provide feedback to improve product quality and reduce test overhead.
• Train and mentor junior QA testers.

Skills & Abilities:

• Expertise in software testing methodologies with a focus on bioinformatics applications.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Selenium, and Behave/Cucumber.
• Strong background in biology, genetics, or related field.
• Experience with test case development and statistical tools.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT) and regulatory environment in clinical settings.

Must Have Experience:

• Languages: Python/Pytest, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Selenium, Cucumber
• Packages: Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, PyTest, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy
• Techniques: Code Review, Requirements, Scientific Documentation, End-to-End Testing
• Key Words: Integration Testing, Unit Testing, Validation, Documentation, Selenium, Cucumber

Requirements:

• Batchelor’s degree required in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Physics, Engineering or related field
• At least 1 year in a biotechnology setting

Pay Range: $75,000 – $125,000
