Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and test artifacts.
- Execute manual or automated test cases, report results, and track bugs.
- Collaborate with the software development team to resolve issues.
- Utilize Python for writing test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand specific testing requirements.
- Assist in the development of testing strategies for new product features.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and reduce test overhead.
- Train and mentor junior QA testers.
Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in software testing methodologies, with a focus on bioinformatics applications.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Python, R, Selenium, and Behave/Cucumber.
- Background in biology, genetics, or related fields.
- Experience in test case development and error troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of statistical tools and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT) and regulatory environments.
- Ability to contribute to the development of company objectives.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and contribute to team collaboration.
- Continuous learning and open communication.
Must-Have Experience:
- Languages: Python/Pytest, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Selenium, Cucumber (Bonus: R, AWS, Nextflow, MATLAB)
- Packages: Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, PyTest, Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Plotly, JupyterLab, Ggplot
- Techniques: Code Review, Requirements, Scientific Documentation, End-to-End Testing, Unit Testing

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Physics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year in a biotechnology setting.
Pay Range: $75,000 – $125,000
