Eligibility Criteria:

- Professional experience (0-2 years) in a laboratory setting (product development preferred)

Background & Purpose of the Job
- The Product Development Associate Scientist provides formulation support for the development of key household cleaning products that meet or exceed consumers’ expectations while meeting Seventh Generation’s authenticity and sustainability initiatives. This involves a combination of skills in the laboratory, creative problem-solving skills, and the passion to bring truly differentiated products to market.
What You’ll Do
- Perform formulation tasks including laboratory batching, stability monitoring, physical attribute testing, and system entries
- Participate in all stages of product development from the creation of laboratory prototypes to production support
- Develop new product specifications and create documentation to support all product qualification requirements
- Develop the ability to predict potential project obstacles and develop risk mitigation plans
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential raw material suppliers
- Assist in general support of laboratory operations (ordering supplies, maintaining chemical inventory, equipment calibration, and maintenance)
