Biology Intern Job Description

As a Computational & Bioinformatics Intern, the selected candidate will develop a modular genome annotation pipeline for complex plant genomes. This role will involve exploring how AI can further enhance gene annotation quality, directly contributing to data-driven research and the development of stronger crop varieties. The intern will work on integrating transcriptomic, proteomic, and other data sources to generate accurate gene annotations.

Eligibility Criteria

Biology Intern Job qualifications include:

  • A Master’s degree background in Bioinformatics, Biology, or a related field, with experience using Python/R and Linux environments.
  • Experience working with sequencing data (RNA-seq, genomics, proteomics) and an interest in genome annotation or similar analytical workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
