Job Description
The biology technician job at Columbia University Medical Center involves participation in day-to-day laboratory research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Responsibilities include experimental setup, completion, data collection, and data analysis, as well as animal colony management. Eligibility Criteria for Biology Technician Job
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, or related science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in biology (Cell and/or Molecular Biology preferred) or a related field.
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
- Experience in animal colony management and animal husbandry is strongly encouraged.
- Familiarity with flow cytometry is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Technical ability to complete procedures and properly record and report results.
