Boehringer Ingelheim Internship: Job Description
In this clinical development internship, the intern will support the operational and scientific setup, execution, and delivery of clinical trials at the local level. The Clinical Development & Operations team contributes to the delivery of the company’s pipeline through various roles within Italian Clinical Research & Development (CD&O).
Eligibility Criteria
- Scientific Master’s Degree; a Master’s program in clinical/pharmaceutical areas would be considered a plus.
- Strong team working and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge/experience in clinical research and project management would be considered a plus.
- Good command of the English language and native level of Italian.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Boehringer Ingelheim internship include:
- Support ethical procedures managed by the CRO to start up clinical studies at central (EU-CTR) and site levels, in compliance with existing legislation, both national and international.
- Assist in the negotiation and finalization of study contracts according to current laws and internal procedures in collaboration with CD&O, the CRO, and the Legal & Compliance Department.
- Maintain trackers and activities to support trials for activities not outsourced to a CRO, as well as tracking a significant number of trial-specific documents and activities.
- Support the planning, implementation, and tracking of the clinical trial process, including risk mitigation, monitoring, site engagement, and conduct and closeout visits.
- Assist CD&O in relationships with external experts, investigational sites, Patient Organizations, and other stakeholders in a cross-functional collaboration.
