Job Description: Apply your computational and mathematical skills in big-data genomics to make a significant impact on scientific and clinical advancements, particularly in diabetes and related cardiometabolic traits. Joining a team led by Dr. Josep Maria Mercader, an Affiliate Faculty at the Broad Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital, you will develop innovative methodologies for understanding the genetic underpinnings of type 2 diabetes in diverse populations and its implications for healthcare analytics and precision medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze genetic and electronic health records data
- Conduct genetic association analyses and multi-omics data analysis
- Develop polygenic risk scores for diverse populations
- Collaborate on international genetic discovery efforts
Qualifications
- B.A. or M.A. in bioinformatics, biology, statistics, data science, or related field
- Experience in statistical analysis for genomic data
- Proficiency in Unix and standard bioinformatics tools (Python, R, etc.)
