Job Description – Bioinformatics Analyst I (2400018I)
Description:
The Bioinformatics Analyst will take on responsibilities for providing broad bioinformatics support for genetics projects, manipulating and representing large-scale phenotypic and genotypic data to support the analysis and presentation of results. Primary responsibilities will be to provide programming expertise to support the spectrum of Genetic Medicine research, including the development and application of bioinformatics algorithms to aid in the discovery activities of the Genetic Medicine team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of analytical software packages
- Programming and scripting software development
- Assistance with data management and transformations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics, computer science and/or life science
- 0-2 years relevant experience for MS or PhD candidates
- Familiarity with genomic technologies and databases
- Proficiency in programming and statistical analysis
