The Opportunity
This position works out of Abbott’s Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division, where the focus is on helping individuals manage their diabetes with innovative products. As the Clinical Research Associate I, the individual will assist in the clinical execution and management of all aspects of assigned clinical studies, ensuring they meet timelines and quality standards.
Job Description
The Clinical Research Associate I will be responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of clinical studies from concept to clinical study report. This role includes various tasks such as conducting investigator debarment checks, preparing study files, and maintaining communication with clinical sites. The Clinical Research Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of clinical research jobs in California.
Clinical Research Associate Jobs – Key Responsibilities
- Participate in study start-up activities, including conducting investigator debarment checks and collecting regulatory documents.
- Conduct Site Qualification Visits (SQV) and ensure study staff and research sites are adequate for ADC trials.
- Assist with the shipment of study devices and supplies to clinical sites.
- Support senior study startup staff during site selection.
- Maintain and audit the Trial Master File and upload to Veeva Vault for inspection readiness.
- Communicate the status of clinical trial start-up to management effectively.
- Support regulatory submissions as required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Eligibility Criteria Required For Clinical Research Associate Jobs
- BS degree in life sciences preferred, with two years of experience as a CRC/CTA or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in conducting medical device studies preferred; a pharmaceutical background may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated excellence in teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GCP, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Flexibility in daily activities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
Salary: The base pay for this position is $73,900.00 – $116,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
