Clinical Research Coordinator Job Description
This Clinical Research Coordinator Job involves assisting in the daily activities of clinical research studies, obtaining informed consent, and collecting, maintaining, and organizing study information. This role also involves assisting in the preparation of grant applications and documents, including those for the Institutional Review Board and Grants and Contracts Office.
Clinical Research Coordinator Role: Key Responsibilities
- Collects and records study data, inputting all information into the database.
- Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements.
- Assists in activities related to clinical research studies, including answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, and registering subjects with the sponsoring agency.
- Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO submissions, and filings.
- Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures, ensuring accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
- Secures, delivers, and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
- Prepares for monitoring visits.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a closely related field.
- No experience required; one year of research experience preferred.
Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $58,661 – $73,530 annually.
