The Position
Location: Remote, within Canada
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Length: 6 months
At Roche, we encourage creative thinking and are dedicated to developing cutting-edge computer vision techniques for pathology image analysis. As a Computational Biology Intern, you will have the chance to explore new deep learning algorithms with potential applications in healthcare. Collaborate with peers from diverse analytics teams on an innovative digital pathology project that utilizes advanced machine learning and analytics on the company’s real-world imaging data.
The Opportunity:
- Assist in analyzing high-throughput biological data using computational tools
- Develop and implement computational algorithms for biological data analysis
- Stay informed about advancements in computational biology, genomics, and bioinformatics
- Work closely with team members and researchers on ongoing projects
Who are you:
- Are pursuing a MSc/PhD degree or are a recent graduate in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Genetics, Bioengineering or related fields.
- Fluency in one or more programming languages, preferentially, in Python, and one or more deep learning frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning and deep learning.
- English proficiency required.
